Northern Florida is blessed with hundreds of fresh water spring. Here is an article on one of them, Ponce De Leon Springs. Now this beautiful spot is a state park just a few miles north of DeLand, FL, my college stomping grounds. I spent many afternoons chasing bikini clad girls and enjoying the 72 degree spring. There has been a restaurant in the old mill for years where you can make your own pancakes on a grill built into the table. Little did I know this idyllic spot had such a fascinating history.
